MEDICINAL PLANTS – Growing and using hops

Hops (Humulus lupulus) has been traditionally used in herbal medicine for its relaxing action on the nervous system.

If you’re having trouble sleeping or feeling stressed, hops might be a remedy. The dried flowers can be added to a lavender eye pillow to help soothe tension headaches, toothaches and earaches while the bitter taste supports digestive function. Hops can be used with lemon balm, chamomile or mint in herbal teas to ease indigestion.

The world may seem a little crazy right now. The future may seem a bit uncertain, but a lot of the forces causing this uncertainty are far out of our control.

In times like these it is possible to feel a little helpless but I feel that focusing on the things you can do in your own corner of the world is much more reassuring and beneficial than getting overwhelmed by the state of the world.
