In March 2025, I was asked to share my knowledge in Permaculture Design and in Sustainable Food Choices in Italy, where I am from, during the following summer.
The initial idea was to present two different workshops on two different dates:- Introduction to Permaculture Design, and- “FoodEd”, my own course on Food History and Sustainable Food Choices
This eventually took place on one only date, Saturday 26th July 2025, in Sant’Albano Stura (CN), Italy.
Design Process: The Dragon's Dream.
It was an individual journey, and I delivered the course as a sole tutor, however, this project was a collective effort to create something that I would also be able to share within the Brighton Permaculture Trust (Brighton) in the future. I have shared my Dream with multiple people from the beginning and during the whole process, gathering ideas and feedback, and brainstorming with people I trust and respect very much, and who will be eventually part of the bigger final project.
“FoodEd” in particular aims to become a 1- or 2-day course for the BPT, but also a workshop for children in schools, a module for diploma students, and eventually a book. In order to shape this Dream, I joined forces with a whole army of lovely passionate people.
