At Highbury Community Orchard, we’re creating a vibrant, living space where nature, community, and sustainability come together.
A tranquil urban orchard tucked away in the corner of Highbury Park and the Chamberlain Highbury estate. A space that blends heritage and permaculture, forest garden and play to create an oasis of calm in.
We believe in the need and reciprocal benefit of wild, green spaces and share this with our growing community through garden and orchard tasks, forest school practices, heritage craft skills and seasonal celebrations.
We work with children and families, SEN communities, volunteers, schools, and other local groups and stake holders. We strive to create a green space of calm and curiosity in a busy world.
We run weekly general volunteer sessions Thursdays 11-2 and children's play and learning activities on Wednesdays in term time, as well as regular monthly events including celebrations like apple day.
