Food growing project to be designed and managed using permaculture principles and expanded to enable a community growing.
Part of a 26 acre site of beautiful woodland, rewilded meadow and new orchard planted 5 years ago.
Now proposing to establish a permaculture food growing garden, initially in the 1 acre orchard (photo), with the addition of a Polycrub polytunnel and utilising the fruit trees to establish a forrest garden as well as annual beds and perennial planting. A further phase is planned to expand into the adjoining meadow to enable local people access to grow food and support local food banks.
