Begin permaculture with a clear, practical foundation before committing to a full Permaculture Design Certificate.
This flexible, self-paced online course introduces the ethics, principles, patterns and systems thinking that underpin responsible permaculture design. You will learn to observe relationships, recognise resources and constraints, and connect ecological care with practical decisions.
No previous experience or land is required. You can apply the activities to a home, balcony, garden, neighbourhood, workplace, community project or supplied case study.
Choose one of two pathways:
• Free Study Pathway: access the complete Foundation Course learning materials free of charge for 28 consecutive days. No card is required.
• Assessed Pathway: pay €50 for the same learning materials, plus an introductory design assignment, individual tutor review and feedback. A Foundation Course Certificate of Completion becomes available only after your submitted design meets the course requirements and receives tutor approval.
The course is suitable for complete beginners, people exploring regenerative approaches to their home or land, community practitioners, and anyone deciding whether to progress to the full 72-hour Online Permaculture Design Course.
