Course summary

This Permaculture Immersion week offers a practical experience of permaculture through learning, practicals and lived experience at Coed Hills, a long-established eco-community and centre for low-impact living in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.

Rather than separating theory from practice, the course brings them together through daily life. You will learn by doing, observing and reflecting, working with land, food systems and community as part of a shared experience.

The Immersion Week is designed for people who want to explore permaculture in depth in a grounded, realistic way, whether you are new to the approach or looking to deepen your understanding.

The Permaculture Immersion week fits with the new emerging modular approach to the PDC (Permaculture Design Certificate) and covers around 60% of the PDC requirements. You can go on to complete the remaining elements, either with the same course team or with other permaculture educators to broaden your learning experience.
