This design is the fruit of a collaborative effort of myself, the wonderful hosts of Hunza Ecolodge, Roeland and Milady, and fellow members of the Hungarian Permaculture Association.
The design describes the organic evolution of a local event we came up with, providing quality practice opportunities for those who wish to hone their permaculture design skills and learning opportunities for those who are new to permaculture.
Originally the goal of these events was to provide a real life opportunity for PDC holders to practise what they have learned and eager to try out but have no real ways to do so.
Here they could brainstorm and design for real client needs (our hosts) AND most importantly see their designs come to life or even help bring them to life.I wanted to create a win-win situation with no money involved, where the event is very accessible (no money barrier) and participants “win” experience through practice and our hosts “win” by their actual design needs being fulfilled or at least having a wider perspective on them. - Fair share
The event evolved to be open for anyone interested in permaculture, not just PDC holders. This allowed for nice, diverse groups, where PDC holders could practise what they had learned and beginners could get into permaculture through practice whilst contributing to the work. - People care
Having a hand in evolving and improving this beautiful piece of land through this design is a privilege. - Earth care
